Mental Health Break: As Duncan Black would say, a Deep Thought…
While we wait for the LHC to End Life As We Know It (tm), let my just say:
LIfe is always better when your guy hits a home run. Jason Bay –2 run HR. Red Sox lead 4-3.
This post is a risk, given that we’ve onlly finished the eighth.
Update: Dan Johnson homers off Papelbon. Tied 4-4. It’s my fault.
Update II: I should’a stood in bed.

Last night was not a good night for the boys in red. At least not any of the boys in red that I care about. The Phils got hammered–or I should say, Kyle Kendrick got hammered–for *seven runs in the first inning*. The offense made a valiant effort, but they lost 10-8. Kendrick has done a lot for them in the past, but over the last several outings he has just plain stunk. They need to stop playing him, period, or hope for the playoffs is gone. Now it looks like I get to see Jamie Moyer pitch on three days’ rest against the Brewers tomorrow night–should be interesting.
I see your boys in red had some problems in the end as well. Of course, I’m not as upset about that
I can’t believe Papelbon blew a save, though. I thought he was invincible!
…oh, wait, I was thinking of Brad Lidge
(Of course, now that I said that, he’ll lose his shot at Save Perfection.)
